Buying NFTs at a marketplace #
Game NFTs will be listed on the following marketplaces:
Players can purchase there not only NFTs from the administration, but also from other players. In other words, the marketplace has created a convenient market where anyone can sell.
When you go to the marketplace website, the first thing you need to do is to connect your wallet to it. It will take you just a few clicks. If you use a wallet in a browser, then just open the marketplace website in the browser where the wallet is installed. If you use a cryptocurrency wallet on your phone, then you must access the marketplace website through the built-in browser of your wallet.
Click the Connect Wallet button. If you are logging in from the Phantom or Solflare app browser on your phone, this button will be in the menu, which can be opened by clicking on the three bars in the upper left corner of the site.
Then Verify Wallet.
And we sign the transaction in the wallet with the Approve button.
To find an NFT from the game collection you need, you need to go to the marketplace website and enter the name of the collection in the search. For example, Taurus Guard is the first collection in the “Golden Clone” world. Check the name of the collection carefully, because there may be cases of fraud with fake collections, which may differ in name by only 1 letter!
Clicking on this collection will take you to the sales page. Here you will see a little information about the collection, as well as all the lots for sale. The cheapest lots at the moment will be presented at the top, and the higher the price, the lower the lot will go on the page.
Prices for all lots are indicated in the Solana cryptocurrency and are sold only for it. This collection contains only NFTs verified by the administration, however, if you want to once again verify the authenticity of the NFT displayed, read how to do this in the “Authentication” section.
To quickly buy your favorite NFT from your PC, hover your mouse over it and the Quick Buy button will appear.
Then a Phantom or Solflare wallet window will open where you need to confirm this transaction. Once confirmed, you will receive the NFT in your wallet.
If you are making a purchase from a Phantom or Solflare mobile wallet, go to the collection page and click on the NFT you want to purchase: a View Cart button will appear.
After clicking, information on this NFT will open and a purchase button will appear - Buy Now.
Buying using an order #
You can also place orders to purchase NFTs on the Magic Eden marketplace. Orders are not triggered automatically, and for your order to trigger, the sellers must go into your order specifically and sell their NFTs.
You can place an order on the collection page using the Make offer button.
In the window that appears, you can enter the number of NFTs you want to purchase in the Number of NFTs input field, from 1 to 20 pieces. in one order. And in the Price input field you must indicate the price at which you want to purchase them. Then a Phantom or Solflare wallet window will open where you need to confirm this transaction. When placing an order, the entire amount necessary for the purchase is reserved, taking into account commissions.
To cancel an order, you need to go to the Collection Offers → My Offers tab on the collection page, click the Cancel offer button, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
Buying “from hand” #
In addition to buying on the marketplace, you can buy NFTs from other players. However, it is worth remembering the risks, because in this case the seller or buyer must send their cryptocurrency or NFT first. In this case, fraud cannot be ruled out, especially if a stranger offers in personal correspondence to buy an NFT from him, also at a reduced price. If they sell you a fake NFT or you are the first to send the cryptocurrency, and the scammer simply disappears, the administration will not be able to return your assets to you. Be carefull!
The administration recommends conducting transactions only through well-known marketplaces!
However, if you still decide to buy NFTs second hand, then you should conduct the transaction only with those people whom you know and trust well.
Commission #
When purchasing through the Magic Eden marketplace, the buyer pays the main commission. The commission is 5% Therefore, the final price when purchasing an NFT will consist of the price of the NFT itself + 5% commission + gas payment for the transaction (about 0.00001 Solana). The buyer pays 4.5% (3% royalty to the administration and 1.5% to the marketplace). The seller pays 0.5% commission to the marketplace.
For example, if an NFT is sold for 1 Solana, then you will need 1.045 Solana to purchase it, as well as about 0.00001 Solana to pay gas for the transaction.
