Technological level of a principality#

A principality’s technological level is the primary indicator of its development, calculated as the sum of gold coins spent on the construction of the principality and its facilities. All resources expended are converted into coins at face value: 1 gold coin = 1 technological level point.
It reflects the development of infrastructure and technology, demonstrates the principality’s progress, and influences the availability of large-scale projects, new technologies, buildings, and opportunities. A higher level allows for the expansion of hunting grounds, an increased limit on safes for securities, and a greater share of the principality’s common funds. Regular investments in the principality’s development increase its technological potential and open up new opportunities.
How to increase the technological level#
The technological level can be increased in the following ways:
- Develop basic processing and military enterprises.
- Expand hunting grounds.
- Build settlements and real estate.
- Build wonders, a palace, great buildings and other structures.
- Open new industrial factories, such as bakeries, kvass breweries, ateliers, oil rigs and others.
The influence of settlements and real estate on the technological level is calculated using the formula:

Calculation examples#
Example 1: Base tech level = 1000, principality real estate levels = 200, settlement levels = 100, total real estate and settlement levels on the server = 1000 each. Total: 1000 • (1 + 200/1000) • (1 + 100/1000) = 1320 units.
Example 2: Base level = 1000, settlement levels = 50, no property levels (0), total levels on the server = 1000 each. Total: 1000 • (1 + 0/1000) • (1 + 50/1000) = 1050 units.
