Living in a house#

Living in a house

Living in a house isn’t a requirement for a clone to exist. However, having a place to live opens up additional gameplay opportunities for the clone. The main ones are listed below.

Work at private enterprises in settlements#

To be employed by any private enterprise in a settlement, a clone must reside in a house located in that same settlement.

Employment in private enterprises is available to those with the social status of “artisan” and above. It cannot be combined with work in state-owned enterprises, but the working conditions and pay are often more favorable.

Daily restoration of the “Stamina” characteristic#

While living in a house, a clone is given the ability to restore a certain amount of stamina daily, expressed as a percentage of the daily intake.

The amount of stamina restored directly depends on the house level. Each house level increases the recovery rate by 1% of the daily norm. Thus, a clone can restore from 1% of the daily norm when living in a level 1 house to 50% when living in a castle.

If the house is located in a principality with a Tier VI hospital, an additional 5% of the daily stamina requirement is restored. Hospitals of the required level are guaranteed to be present in principalities that have entered the Megalithic Age. Up-to-date information can be found in the Principality Registry.

Training the “Intent” characteristic#

Living in a private or rented home allows a clone to train their “Intent” stat in the refectory. This ability is unavailable without a residence.

Work on the construction of long-term objects#

A clone that builds long-term objects can reduce the stamina consumption while working if they have housing.

The base stamina consumption without a residence is 1.5 units per day. If the clone resides in a house located in the same principality where construction is taking place, or in the same settlement when building on settlement territory, stamina consumption is reduced to 1 unit per day.

There are two special cases.

  • When building a principality, a clone always spends 1 unit of stamina per day, even if there is no place of residence.
  • When repairing a defensive wall, a clone expends 5 stamina per day and must reside in a house within the principality’s territory. Clones who are not residents of the principality cannot be allowed to repair the wall.
