Cellars#

The basement is a temporary holding area for captured thieves who attempted to rob your home’s coffers. It can be used to punish the thieves, reduce their criminal status, or collect a ransom for their release.
Availability and size#
- All houses with a level of 3 and above have a basement.
- The size of the basement depends on the level of the house and determines how many thieves can be held at once.
- Maximum number of thieves deterred = number of times a house can be burglarized in a day.
Time of detention and punishment#
The thief will be kept in the basement for two days unless he is released earlier.
The owner of the house can apply the following punishments: “Wounds of Spanking”, “Dung Spirit”, “Chicken”.
Each punishment reduces the thief’s criminal authority by 10 units.
The number of possible punishments for one thief is calculated:
N = 20 × K
where K is the size of the house treasury at the time the thief is caught.
If the treasury is < 0.05 gold coins, no punishment can be applied, but the thief still remains in the basement.
One punishment can be applied several times, combining different types.
Ransom#
- The thief may offer a ransom to be released early.
- The owner of the house may agree and the thief is released immediately.
- 5% of the ransom is transferred to the state budget.
- If the thief is punished first, the offered ransom is returned to him.
Footer settings#
- Only major thieves (depending on their level of military knowledge) can be detained.
- Petty thieves can be released automatically.
- It is possible to set up automatic acceptance of ransom payments above a certain amount.
- All parameters are configured on the * “Security and Protection” page - for each house.
